Introduction : This article tells you about how to hide various drives in windows using command prompt. This technique is applicable for all versions of windows. You just follow the below steps and screenshots. #Bhuvan InfoTech
Steps : 1
- Press "Windows+R"
- Type cmd
- Press "Enter"
- Command Prompt window displays
- Type "DISKPART"
- Press "Enter"
- A new command prompt window will appear (may not appear in some versions).
Steps : 2
- Type "LIST VOLUME"
- Press Enter.
- Note - Space must be given between 'list' and 'volume'.
- List of drives appears.
Steps : 3
- Now remember the volume letter or number you want to hide.
- Type "SELECT VOLUME 4(number of any drive which you want to hide, for example '4')".
- See in screen shot to type correctly.
Steps : 4
- Now type "Remove letter D(Type the drive letter which you want to hide, for example 'D')"
- See in screen shot to type correctly.
Show hidden drive again :
Steps : 5
- Apply Step 1,2,3 same as above.
- Now after selecting volume type "ASSIGN LETTER D".
- Open 'My Computer' and check the drives,your hidden drive is displayed again.
