Before Government and telecom regulator TRAI has raised objection, 'NANU' Chief Martin Nygate said that
"If you read the Indian Telegraph Act, you can interpret that every form of data transmission over the internet, which is a form of communication, is legal because it is not regulated by telecom licences. If you read in that context, it's a grey area." 
 Nanu gives free limited credit to its users on daily basis to call all over the world even to those who do not have the same app and also on landline numbers.
