Amazon halt the sale of doormat depicting the Indian flag from its Canadian portal after Sushma Swaraj (Minister of External Affairs) threatened to ban visa of all foreign employees of amazon e-commerce retailer if they did not remove the item.
The row between the amazon online retailer and our foreign minister of external affairs (Sushma Swaraj) started when a user from Mumbai sent her a screenshot of Canadian Portal of amazon showing doormats depicting Indian flag.
MS. Swaraj tweeted that Amazon must concern an "unconditional apology" and remove the "product" insulting our national flag.
A supporter for Amazon wrote: “The item is no longer for sale on the site.”
"If this is not granted, we will not grant Indian visa to any Amazon foreign staff member. We will also cancel the Visa issued earlier", Sushma said.
Amazon is making a huge bet on India. It has invested more than $5 billion since 2014. Amazon is aggressively trying to expand its Indian business.

Online Retailer amazon's store offered a wide range of doormats with an Indian tricolor as well as flags of many other countries, including the United Kingdom and the United States. The Indian tricolor doormats was not really sold by amazon it was sold by a third party on their portal, But taken down by the e-commerce on Wednesday.MS.
