One of the world's largest torrent site Torrentz.eu Shuts Down. This site has announced "farewell" to its millions of users. This is a meta-search engine, which hosted no torrents of its own but linked to other sites. Including this shuts down also the Pirates Bay, has decided to cease its operation. The surprise shut down of Torrentz.eu comes just two weeks after Kickass Torrents was taken down and its founder "Artem Vaulin" arrested in Poland.
According to Alexa(Web trafic analysis website) Torrentz.eu had a 186 global ranking, and ranked 28 in India, one of the highest rankings for the site in any other country.
While the home page is still active but quick search on the website shows that the information is blocked.
The site’s user see the following message: “Torrentz will always love you. Farewell.”
The fate of the website is unknown, but like the messages say, it has closed down for good, Because Two weeks ago, Artem Vaulin, a 30-year-old Ukrainian owner of Kickass Torrents, was detained in Poland after being charged with a four-count US criminal indictment.
