India is Celebrating its 70th Independence day. Google today dedicated a doodle to Jawaharlal Nehru’s historic speech. Nehru Ji delivered his speech in the Parliament House before the Indian Constituent Assembly in 1947.
“Long years ago we made a tryst with destiny, and now that time comes when we shall redeem our pledge, not wholly or in full measure, but very substantially. At the stroke of today's midnight hour, when the world sleeps, India will awake to life and freedom.” - Nehru Ji said in his speech.Today’s Doodle depicts the speech’s historic delivery in the Parliament House before the Indian Constituent Assembly. We celebrate India’s independence and as Nehru so eloquently stated, her leaders’ “pledge of dedication to the service of India and her people.” Jai hind! - Google Write in one of its post.
Doodle has 1947 written on the bottom of parliament house to mark the year of independence day. Last year google showed a look of gandhi ji's Dandi march on its doodle.
Just a day before there was also a special doodle on Google to mark Pakistan's Independence day.
